The Bracken Ridge scarf tutorial uses basic crochet stitches to create a wonderfully easy and elegant crochet triangle shawl that looks as good worn over a summer dress as it does with a t shirt and pair of jeans.
If you are a beginner crocheter this is a great project for you to practice your Double Crochet and Half Double Crochet stitches.
Even if these are new to you, don’t worry as I have to help you learn.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 4.5mm hook
- approx 660yds of fingering weight yarn
(you can make the shawl in a heavier weight yarn as long as you use the recommended hook size for the yarn you choose)
SIZE:
The pattern is for one size but once you have learned the pattern repeat you can continue until you have a shawl that fits you perfectly.
You can also make a larger scarf by using a chunkier yarn and a larger hook.
